Y&R China adds Effie accolade to 3-years Cannes dominance
BEIJING – 16 June, 2016 — Y&R China celebrated its 30th anniversary with the news it is ranked Top 2 Most Effective Agency Network in the Effie Greater China Effectiveness Rankings 2016. The Effie accolade adds to Y&R China’s creative dominance at Cannes, where it has been the country’s most-awarded agency for 3 consecutive years. And the agency’s three offices have also each added significant business wins with Bosch in Shanghai, Unicom VSENS in Beijing and China Southern Airlines in Guangzhou.

At Cannes 2015, Y&R Shanghai garnered 7 Lions trophies, including China’s only Gold, plus 12 Shortlists. The wins included Gold and two Bronze Lions for Xiao Zhu ‘Breathe Again’; Silver and Bronze for Baidu ‘Emoji’; and Bronzes each for The Samaritan ‘Talk Cushion’ and Peta Asia’s ‘Online Fur Shop.’ Y&R China’s winning streak continued with Y&R Beijing bagging 5 at ADSTARS; success for Y&R Shanghai at both Spikes Asia and the Clio’s; plus wins for Y&R Guangzhou at China 4A’s and the Great Wall Awards.
And the China Effie Awards saw a Grand Effie nomination and Gold for Y&R Shanghai’s ‘Online Fur Shop’ for Peta Asia, plus a Silver Effie for the ‘Mizone Tilt Evolvement’ campaign.
In 2014 Y&R China’s ten Lions and thirty-five Shortlists haul was the agency’s best ever performance at Cannes, topping 2013’s 4 Lions and 22 Shortlists, propelled the agency to second place (up from 13th place in 2012).
